Terra Depot is located in the 1880 train station at 4202 Portage St. NW, North Canton. Imagine what it was like back then, what people were wearing as they waited for the train to Cleveland.
The charm of the building is still there with the wooden floors and beams. The owner, Megan Shoenfelt has added to the original charm with a unique selection of gift items including my pottery in one half of the building. I delivered a new shipment of my work last week. The other half is devoted to birds, all things birds, houses, feeders, seeds, on and on. I buy my birdseed there-safflower seed because the squirrels don't like it. I want to support a local shop as I'm sure you do. Stop in and browse and try to imagine what it was like in 1880.
Megan grows raspberries and specializes in raspberry jam which she also sells at Terra Depot. Maybe that is why the building is painted a delicious shade of raspberry red. That jam makes a wonderful hostess gift or stocking-stuffer at Christmas.
